Wired Magazine has a neat article out about the results of the African Robotics Network design challenge from this past summer. There are winners in three categories, one of which prominently features lollipops. The neatest part of the contest? One of the rules was that the robot could only cost $10. The intention is for the winning robots to become commercial products, which might really change robotics education. You can read the full article and see photos of the winning robots on the Wired site. See also the website for the African Robotics Network for more information on this interesting group.
