Another cautionary tale – planetary motion

Recently, this animation of the Solar System was making the rounds around the Internet, including some very reputable science sites:

Unfortunately, it’s wrong.  First of all, Jupiter and Saturn are reversed.  Second, the solar system does not orbit at this angle to the Sun’s motion.  Third, it includes Pluto, which technically isn’t a planet anymore.  So, be warned – all that glitters is not gold.  Oh, how it glitters, though.  If you want an awesome scientifically accurate universe video, try this one, of the formation of the universe following the Big Bang:
