Last year was the inaugural Seattle Science Festival, and it was a roaring success. So much so that they have made it an annual event! The second annual Festival started yesterday, and the calendar of events is incredible. Some of the events I want to check out (but can’t because I have to earn money, boo) are the “Using Genetics and Whale Poop to Save Orcas”, “Opportunities in Open Science”, and “Our 11th Hour: Straight Talk on Climate Change from People Who Know”. There are more than 100 events over the week-long festival – get out there and enjoy some of them!!
